Camper In Leadership Training (CILT)
at Carmel Valley Tennis Camp

Who is eligible:  Campers who have completed 10th, 11th or 12th grade.

Cost:  Regular Camp tuition

Purpose:  To give older campers a leadership program that helps them see what it means to be a CVTC counselor

Results:  Having practical experience that participants can use in a job environment and/or on college applications and/or on applying to be a counselor at CVTC during college summers

Campers in the CILT program will participate in the normal CVTC Program (tennis lessons, match play, off court activities and evening activities).

In addition, they will have the following experiences:

  • Tennis counselor mentor – assist on center court 1 hour per day in one of their non tennis lesson times learning how to feed tennis balls, organize drills and court management

  • Tennis counselor/coach mentor – learn about the role of a coach during Team Tennis

  • Evening Activities – participate in the running of the Evening Activities

Campers in the program will receive a CILT manual and meet with the Program Director

Interested campers will complete the CILT questionnaire and register for CVTC Session(s).
