We take great pride in the commitment and safe care given each child who attends our camp. Adult supervision is provided on and off the courts. Our camp environment cultivates and nurtures each camper's confidence. The warm and loving atmosphere creates memories of tennis, fun and friends that last a lifetime.

Steve Proulx and Susan Reeder, a husband and wife team, along with Aimee Reeder, are the Owners and Directors of the Carmel Valley Tennis Camp.

Our staff is composed of college aged counselors, some of whom have been campers at CVTC in the past. Our tennis counselors are playing college tennis and bring a wealth of tennis experience to the camp.

Leslie Chang – 3rd summer; rising senior at California State University, Northridge majoring in Communication Studies and minoring in Marketing and Gender Women's Studies; co-captain of CSUN's nationally ranked tennis team; was ranked top 200 nationally in USTA 18's; 3 time ITA Scholar Athlete; member of Lambda Pi Eta Honors Society and National Society of Collegiate Scholars; also work as a mentor and tutor on campus to other student athletes; Hometown Aliso Viejo, California


Zack Huffman – 2nd summer; rising senior at Pfeiffer University majoring in Computer Information Systems while playing singles and doubles on the team; will be captain next year; Hometown Maiden, North Carolina


Leticia Monteiro – 1st summer; graduate of Calumet College of St. Joseph with a degree in Business Management; team captain and tennis mentor; played #2 singles and #1 doubles; Hometown Campo Grande, Brazil


Alex Richards – 1st Summer; graduating senior from McKendree University with a degree in Physical Education and minor in Coaching; Academic All-GLVC and Scholar Athlete; Hometown St Austell, Cornwall, United Kingdom


Susana Alcaraz – 1st summer; graduate of New Mexico State University with a degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management; played #2 singles and #1 doubles; WAC Conference Tournament Champion 2015; WAC All conference First Team Singles 2015; WAC All Conference Tournament team Singles and Doubles 2015; Born in Mexico City but currently lives in Aguascalientes, Mexico


Scott Strough – 1st summer; rising Junior at Westminster College double majoring in Sports Management and Sociology with a minor in Coaching; plays #5 singles and #2 doubles; Hometown Fulton, Missouri 


Hannah Shephard – 1st summer; rising senior at Montana State University Billings majoring in Marketing with a minor in Coaching; has played competitively for 11 years; 3 year MSU Billings women’s tennis team player; Hometown Bend, Oregon


Isriz Balase – 1st summer; senior at Judson University majoring in Theological Studies with a minor in Biblical Studies; playing #2 singles and #2 doubles; was ranked in the top 100 in the Midwest and top 30 in the Chicago District for USTA 18’s; Hometown Schaumburg, Illinois


Chloe O’Connor – 1st summer; rising sophomore at Emmanuel College majoring in Elementary Education with a Christian Ministries Minor; plays #1 singles and #1 doubles; Born and raised in Zimbabwe, Africa


Raul Quevedo Aranda – 1st summer; rising junior at Young Harris College majoring in Business and Public Policy with a minor in French and a concentration in Economics; ranked 48 in D2 singles and 20 in D2 doubles; playing 5,6 singles and 1,2 doubles; All Academic team 2015; Gold Scholar at Young Harris College 2014 and 2015; Hometown Barcelona, Spain
